RS232, RS422 and RS485 data communication converters who communicate over Ethernet, WiFi or Optical Fiber

BESD provides a wide range of RS232, RS422 and RS485 data communication converters (device server)  who communicate over Ethernet, WiFi or optic fiber. By placing a converter at both ends of the connection, you can set up a transparent point to point connection. For Ethernet or WiFi, there is software (VIP) that creates a virtual COM port on the PC so that the filed device with a serial port, communicates via Ethernet or WiFi port of the computer.

RS232, RS422 or RS485 data communication over Ethernet

The Cometh is an RS232 dongle implementation and Cometh-Field an RS232, RS422/RS485 DIN-rail version. In this way serial data transmission over existing Ethernet networks is possible.
The modules support the ModBus protocol and multiple slave devices on the RS422/RS485 jack is supported. In addition, Acksys provides software (VIP) coming with the modules to generate a virtual COM port on the computer. The application software is then linked to this port.

Acksys has a range of products which realizes wireless communication via a WiFi connection. There are modules for industrial applications (DIN-rail mounting), modules for mobile applications with IP66 protection for the automotive market and versions for ATEX environment.

Serial data communication is also possible via multimode or singlemode optic fiber connections. This allows that distances of up to 100km can be bridged. Optic fiber provides a galvanic isolation between the systems and has the great advantage of being insensitive to noise sources and lightning.
