Compact PCI single board computer with PowerPC G4 processor, 6U size

The A6pci7508 is a 6U size single slot width high performance Compact PCI single board computer with an onboard Power PC® G4 MPC7447A™ processor by Freescale. It features two PMC sites, a Tundra® Tsi108™ as host chip and PLX PCI6254™ as CPCI bridge.

CPU
The operating clock of the G4 MPC7447A™ is 1 GHz, and it has an internal 64KB L1 cache and a 512 KB L2 cache.
Memory
The main memory consists of the latest DDR2-SDRAM, and supports CPU and I/O power across a powerful 3.2 GB/s bandwidth. It also supports ECC, enabling correction of single bit data errors, combining high reliability with performance.
I/O Interfaces
In the front panel the A6pci7508 provides 1 ch RS-232C serial port, 2 ch gigabit Ethernet, one onboard CompactFLASH socket, and two PMC (PCI Mezzanine Card) slots.
The A6pci7508 features some parameters that can be changed: CPU operating clock could be either 600 MHz or 1 GHz, memory sizes could be of 512 MB or 1 GB and also other customer requirements can be handled.
Operating Modes
The A6pci7508 can be used either as a Compact PCI system slot or a peripheral slot. The board recognizes the slot type and this allows o change automatically the operation mode for the bridge IC and the status for terminating resistance. It can be used as a single central CPU but also multiple CPU boards can be added in response to increased processing loads.
