WLg-Switch is a 3-in-1 combo solution: 8-port managed Ethernet switch, 2.4 / 5 GHz WiFi ACCESS POINT / BRIDGE / REPEATER and 120W power injector (POE PSE) designed for harsh industrial environments and automotive applications.
The unit is housed in a compact enclosure ready to be DIN rail or panel mounted.
Both Switch and power injector are manageable that make it possible to offer advanced configuration.
WLg-Switch can be managed using a web browser or SNMP; The “C-Key” allows for quick and easy on-site replacement of the WLg-SWITCH unit, eliminating the need to reconfigure the replacement part or to use any other equipment, giving it a high availability.
WLg-Switch fulfills the most severe requirements in terms of operating environment: operating temperature from -20°C to + 70°C ( -4°F to 158°F ), shockproof and vibration proof according to MIL-STD- 810F standard, IP 30 seal rating.

The WLg-Switch used in the ACCESS POINT mode makes it possible to create an industrial WiFi wireless network from any industrial equipment featuring an 10/100 Ethernet interface.
Used in the BRIDGE mode, the WLg-Swtich enables to connect any industrial equipment featuring a 10/100 Ethernet interface to the WiFi wireless network.
WLg-Switch module can also be used as a WiFi network repeater (WDS) in order to extend radio coverage, device supports both INFRASTRUCTURE and AD-HOC modes.
The WLg-Switch device is also designed to work as a wireless bridge between the wired MODBUS/TCP or PROFINET protocols and the radio network, this feature allows to connect any MODBUS/TCP or PROFINET equipments to this network.
Thanks to its built-in WEB interface, the setup of the device is achieved using the web browser installed on your computer (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla ...).
It also offers SNMP and NDM administration / configuration and the “C-Key” which allows quick and easy on-site replacement of the WLg-SWITCH unit, eliminating the need to reconfigure the replacement part or to use any other equipment.
WLg-Switch doesn't require any additional software to be installed on your computer (no peripheral driver needed).
The WLg-Switch is compliant with the IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/h standards (wireless Ethernet 2.4 / 5 GHz), it features a built-in 2-port Ethernet 10/100 base TX auto-sensing switch on RJ45 connectors.
The radio link is made safe by using most modern methods of protection: WEP 64/128 bits, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and authentification IEEE 802.1x (RADIUS server).
The nominal range (open space) of the module is 300 m for a transmit power of +20 dBm and -92 dBm in reception (a/g modes) and -95 dBm (IEEE 802.11b mode).
It is powered from a dual input DC power supply (+9VDC to +72VDC), power consumption is 10W.
WLg-Switch is also compliant with the IEEE 802.3af standard, it can deliver power to up to 8 equipments compliant with that standard, a +48VDC power supply is then required.

The WLg-Switch enables to connect up to 8 Ethernet devices to the wireless network, it also allows to connect two distincts Ethernet network together through the wireless network.
WLg-Switch also supports the MODBUS/TCP & PROFINET protocols, thus you can easily replace a network cable by the radio link to connect any industrial equipment which rely on these protocols.
