RS232-RS422/RS485 converter ( DIN rail)

C1 Line (serial converters and repeaters)
This line includes a series of high quality industrial devices that are used in setting up networks based on standards RS232, RS422 and RS485; various models are available: with DC (9-36 Vdc) or AC (90-270 Vac) power, for DIN rail mounting or in a desk version; they can be used as universal converters (from RS232 to RS422 or RS485), dual converters (from RS232 to RS485 with two branches) or signal rigenerators (RS422 or RS485). All models can operate with baud rate from 1.2 to 115 kbit/s and automatically sense the direction of the data flow; the triple optical isolation (both line interfaces and power section) and the possibility to set bias and terminating resistances guarantees the safety of data transmission even if affected by strong interference and noise.

The C1-23 is a DIN rail mounting device suitable for converting RS232 line signals to RS422 or RS485 standard. Microswitches, with direct access, allow the user to set: operation mode (automatic or manual), line interface (RS422 or RS485), baud rate (from 1.2 to 115 kbit/s) and bias and terminating resistors. Power supply required is Vca extended rate ( 90 < Vca < 270 ). The device does nor require any software configurations , so it is intrinsically indipendent from the PC to wich it is connected. A tipical application consists as converter interface device in SCADA interfacing with modbus peripheral devices. A triple optical isolation galvanically isolates the power section from the two sides of the line.
