Profibus to Fiber Optic converters
For a large international windmill project, a new badge is ready for shipment. Hundreds of units are already installed.
The Profibus converters are available with a singlemode or multimode Fiber Optic interface. The Fiber Optic topology can be a point-to-point conection or a ring structure. By using Fiber Optic you have three major advantages, galvanic isolation, protection against lightning strikes and the distance between Profibus units can be larger, max. 5km for multimode and 20km for singlemode conections.
