M-Bus interface omvormer, MPW-60/MPW-60D
Met de M-Bus interface omvormer Bialon MPW-60 en de MPW-60D kunnen tot 60 M-Bus apparaten (elk met een standaard belasting van 1,5 mA) via een RS232 of RS485 verbinding op een M-busmaster worden aangesloten. De master van de M-bus kan een PC of een "embedded controller" met een RS232 of RS485 interface zijn. De MPW-60 heeft een RS232-interface, de MPW-60D heeft een RS232 en RS485 interface.

Beschrijving
The M-Bus level converter BIALON MPW-60 and MPW-60D lets you connect up to 60 M-Bus endpoints (with a standard load of 1.5 mA each) to an M-Bus Master via an RS232 or RS485 connection. The M-Bus Master can be, e.g., a PC or an embedded controller. The level converter translates the signals from the M-Bus Master on the RS232 or RS485 interface to M-Bus signals. The M-Bus Master is connected to the level converter via terminals 5 to 7, (TD, RD and GND). The level converter has overload protection and is thus short-circuit protected. The trip threshold is 110 mA. Additionally, the M-Bus interface has overvoltage protection on the bus side. The LEDs indicate the major operational and malfunction states, such as power supply, send or receive data, and bus overload. The M-Bus BIALON MPW-60 or MPW-60D level converter is available in two variants with a 230VAC or 24VAC/DC power supply.
