RS232 serial port isolator, mini
The mini serial port isolators provides galvanic isolation between two serial devices connected to eachother to prevent a groundloop. A grounloop can cause serius damage to the serial port of the equipment. The K3 serie has a DB-9 connector on both sides or a DB-9 connector to one side and a terminal block to the other side. The K232-ISOL has a DB-25 connector on both sides.

Description
The K3-232 is an isolated RS232 to RS232 isolator. It is intended for full-duplex point to point communication.

Do not confuse the K3-232 with imitations which claim to be self-powered but which in fact require power to be supplied to both sides of the converter, or which require about 40mA - far too much for any PC interface to supply. The K3-232 has a DB9 connector for both RS232 ports.
The K3-232-TB is an isolated RS232 to RS232 isolator. It is intended for full-duplex point to point communication.
